A trip to Charleston, South Carolina that was intended to be an extended weekend that turned into a full weeklong trip, and ended up constituting my 2024 vacation, albeit unintentionally.

Francis Scott Key Bridge, December 27, 2024
The remains of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, approximately nine months after the MV Dali experienced a mechanical malfunction and subsequently collided with one of the bridge's support piers in the early morning of March 26, 2024, causing the complete collapse of the bridge's center truss section.
This view shows the edge of the northeastern section of the bridge on the outer loop side. The truss section would have begun near this point.
