Former Walmart in Leesburg, Virginia, February 27, 2020

Former Walmart store in the Shenandoah Square shopping center in Leesburg, Virginia. This store closed in May 2019 when Walmart moved to a new Supercenter store elsewhere in the Leesburg area. Due to longstanding plans to relocate this store, this store never received the new Walmart logo, and the final interior was the mid-2000s decor package with brown walls and large wall signs. The store looked like this prior to its closing.

I found this store interesting to photograph following its closing because of the massive labelscar on the front of the building that is still clearly readable following the removal of the sign. This was caused by the repainting of the facade at various points over the years, and no effort was made to paint out or otherwise cover the labelscar following the closing.
