Former Gordmans store at the Shenandoah Square shopping center in Woodstock, Virginia. This store was converted from the Peebles department store format to the Gordmans off-price format, and opened as Gordmans on March 3, 2020. The store only operated for a few weeks before to an extended closure caused by the governmental response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Parent company Stage Stores was unable to weather the extended closure, and entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy during the extended closure. When stores reopened, they went into liquidation, and the company had wound-up operations by the end of the year.
