Blacked out signage for the former Statler Crossing shopping center in Staunton, Virginia. This shopping center reached its peak in the mid 1990s, anchored by a Walmart and a Rack & Sack grocery store. Walmart moved to a Supercenter in 1995, and Rack & Sack closed as part of a corporate restructuring a few years after opening. A short-lived company called Sun Television & Appliances took over part of the former Walmart space in 1997, lasting less than a year. Federated Auto Parts acquired the shopping center in the early 2000s, and primarily uses it for warehouse space.
