Aerial view of the Belk women's store at Charlottesville Fashion Square. This store opened as Leggett, and was converted to Belk in the late 1990s following a corporate acquisition. A second Belk store opened across the mall from this location in 1999 to house men's, children's, and home product lines. The original Belk store was converted to sell only women's lines following the new store's opening. Following the 2018 closure of Sears and the 2020 closure of JCPenney, the two Belk stores are the mall's only remaining anchor stores.
