Demolition progress at the former Staunton Mall, as of September 13, 2022. Staunton Mall closed at the end of 2020, and demolition began in 2022. This photo shows a partially demolished upper space in the southeastern corner of the JCPenney building. I do not believe that the space shown here was occupied as part of the store operation, but instead was used as mechanical/utility space.
