Demolition progress at the former Staunton Mall, as of September 13, 2022. Staunton Mall closed at the end of 2020, and demolition began in 2022. This photo shows the mall entrance for the Belk store. Belk would remain open throughout the entire demolition process, with the mall entrance's being sealed off with plywood. The Belk sign over the mall entrance remained intact and still illuninated until nearly the end of the demolition process.
