Stairs leading to an escalator at Christie station, on Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth Line) of the Toronto Subway. This unusual configuration was created due to space needs, as the escalator was not part of the original station design, and there was not enough space available to house all of the necessary mechanical equipment if the escalator were to extend all the way down.
