Courtyard view of the main barracks at the former Augusta Military Academy facility in Fort Defiance, Virginia. Augusta Military Academy was a private secondary military preparatory school that operated from 1865 to 1984. The property is now owned by the United Pentecostal Church International, and operates as a camp and conference facility.

In photographing the main barracks building with my drone, I was quite surprised to learn that the building had a large courtyard on the inside, and also that what is perhaps the most recognizable building on the property is disused.
