Brighton Dam, which impounds the Patuxent River to form Triadelphia Reservoir. The Patuxent River and Triadelphia Reservoir form the boundary between Montgomery and Howard County, Maryland. The dam and reservoir are operated and maintained by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission to provide drinking water to area residents.
