A red "ROAD END" sign at the end of East Pleasant Hill Road in Owings Mills, Maryland.

I have never seen a red diamond sign with lettering on it before. I presume this is a variation of the blank red diamond signs that one usually sees when roads dead end, but I would like some more confirmation on this.
