Interior of the Gordmans store at the Wayne Heights Mall shopping center in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, following the store's permanent closure in the fall of 2020, due to financial pressures brought on by the government response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced all of the company's stores into an extended closure, which the company was unable to endure. That led to parent company Stage Stores' filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which ultimately led to the company's liquidation.

Prior to the pandemic, this store had been converted to the Gordmans nameplate in early 2020 as part of a companywide rebranding by parent company Stage Stores to reposition the company as an off-price retailer, and consolidate the company's various brands under the Gordmans name. Prior to being converted to Gordmans, this store had operated as Peebles for many years in a more traditional department store format.
