Demolition progress at the former Staunton Mall, on June 4, 2022. Staunton Mall closed at the end of 2020, and demolition began in 2022. This view shows the beginning of the former Belk wing, which was an expansion built in the 1980s during the conversion from an open-air shopping center to a mall. At the time that this photo was taken, the Belk wing was still fully intact.
