"Penny wars" display at the Walmart Supercenter on Hammonds Mill Road in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The whole thing was ultimately a fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network. To raise money, jars were placed representing each member of the store's management team. Pennies and bills added points to each manager's "score" based on their monetary value (i.e. a penny was worth one point, and a $1 bill was 100 points), while nickels, dimes, and quarters took away points based on their monetary value. At the end of the contest, the manager with the least amount of points would get a pie in their face in front of the whole store.
