Demolition progress at the former Staunton Mall, on August 11, 2022. Staunton Mall closed at the end of 2020, and demolition began in 2022. This photo shows what remains of the Belk wing of the mall, viewed from the southwest. The Belk store itself remains open, and will be incorporated into the development that will replace the mall.
