My DJI Air 2S drone in a parking area at Thee Cori Noel, a condominium complex in Ocean City, Maryland.
I had been flying over Isle of Wight Bay near the US 50 bridge, when I received a low-battery warning from the drone. I immediately started bringing the drone back to its launch site via an automated return-to-home function, but before it could make it all the way there, it indicated that the battery had reached a critical level, and would land immediately. When that happens, your goal is to quickly find a safe spot to land it and then immediately go and retrieve it. This parking area fit the bill, since it was relatively protected, and accessible from the street. It was not ideal, however, because it was still possible for a vehicle to accidentally run it over, so it was especially important to get over there right away and retrieve it.
