Message sign at the former Howard Johnson's restaurant near Rockfish Gap in Augusta County, Virginia. This restaurant opened in 1948 and operated for 50 years before closing permanently in 1998. For more than a decade after the restaurant closed, this sign still read "WELCOME" on both sides.
