Accident between a 2018 Honda HR-V and a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder at the intersection of Montgomery Village Avenue and Christopher Avenue in Gaithersburg, Maryland in the early morning of October 9, 2022. Both vehicles were totaled in the collision, which was caused when the driver of the Pathfinder ran a red signal at a high rate of speed, and collided with the left side of the HR-V. The driver of the Pathfinder fled the scene, while the driver of the HR-V was treated and released at the scene for minor injuries.
This photo shows my Honda HR-V being loaded onto a flatbed tow truck following the collision. I removed the license plates at the scene, because I knew that the car was totaled, and I didn't want to lose the plates, as I intended to put them on my next car.
