Walmart store in Marion, Virginia. This store opened in 1989, as a very early example of Walmart's pylon-style architecture. Note that despite the pylon-style entrance, it still contains canopies on either side of the entrance. It has remained largely unmodified other than periodic store remodels ever since. This store was likely never converted to a Supercenter due to the presence of an Ingles grocery store in the same shopping center.
