Ben Schumin Photography Portfolio

Tripod and camera set up at the western portal of the Blue Ridge Tunnel, an historic railroad tunnel that carried rail traffic underneath Rockfish Gap. The tunnel served as a railroad tunnel from 1858 to 1944, when it was replaced by a larger tunnel nearby. The original tunnel sat disused for a number of years, and then was later converted to a rail trail, which opened on September 21, 2020.
