Sign on a platform column at Court Street station, now home to the New York Transit Museum. Court Street station opened in 1936, but never saw much traffic. Due to its proximity to other stations with better track connections, the station closed for passenger service in 1946. The station was later used as a filming location for movies and the like, and opened as the Transit Museum in 1976.
