The former site of Staunton Mall as of September 14, 2023, now largely reduced to a concrete slab and a few piles of rubble. This photo depicts the final remaining section of mall structure still standing, consisting of a small section of the roof adjacent and attached to the still-operating Belk store, presumably to protect Belk's former mall entrance, which had not yet been walled in. This remaining bit of mall structure would be gone by December, following exterior work on the south side of the Belk building.
