A fly stands on a sidewalk brick on the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, Virginia, shortly after having been freed from a cup of Starbucks iced coffee. This fly had previously somehow gotten under the lid of the cup, fell into the coffee itself, and then found itself unable to get out of the liquid, let alone be able to escape completely. I took the cup outside and poured it out onto the sidewalk, freeing the fly. I can only assume that once its wings dried off, the fly was good to go.
