Public address speakers and fire alarm strobes at Greensboro station, seen on the first day of Silver Line service. The Silver Line stations were the first Washington Metro stations to visibly incorporate fire alarm notification appliances into the station design. Earlier stations had no fire alarm notification appliances visible to passengers.
