The Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating station near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, viewed from across the Susquehanna River. The facility, owned by Exelon, has been decommissioned since September 2019, and was the site of an accident that resulted in the partial meltdown of the TMI-2 unit in March 1979. This photo shows the TMI-2 side of the plant, which was permanently shut down following the 1979 accident.
