The Harley-Davidson logo embedded in the floor in gravel at Southside Harley-Davidson in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It’s certainly a neat effect, but I don’t know if it’s necessarily the most practical. Considering that the gravel gradually comes loose and flakes away (the floor felt gritty because of loose gravel underfoot), it makes me wonder what the lifespan of such a floor treatment is supposed to be, i.e. how long it will be before this floor is either refurbished, heavily modified, or replaced with something more durable.
