The Francis Scott Key Bridge, which carries the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) over the Patapsco River. It is a steel arch-shaped continuous through truss bridge, with construction beginning in 1972. Prior to its completion in 1977, the bridge was known as the Outer Harbor Crossing. It was named for Key upon opening for service.
