Accident between a 2018 Honda HR-V and a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder at the intersection of Montgomery Village Avenue and Christopher Avenue in Gaithersburg, Maryland in the early morning of October 9, 2022. Both vehicles were totaled in the collision, which was caused when the driver of the Pathfinder ran a red signal at a high rate of speed, and collided with the left side of the HR-V. The driver of the Pathfinder fled the scene, while the driver of the HR-V was treated and released at the scene for minor injuries.
This photo shows my injuries following the collision. The bleeding that is visible above my left eye is from the airbag's deployment, which broke my glasses, which scraped my forehead as they broke away. The cut was extremely minor, and healed on its own in a few days. I also had some bruising from where the seat belt held me, and I was sore all over following the collision. I would be treated by a chiropractor for about two months following the accident, and made a full recovery.
