A chair is embedded in the mud at the bottom of the canal in Richmond, Virginia. At the time that this photo was taken, the water level in the upper part of the canal had been lowered considerably to support construction work, revealing this chair. Based on the depth that this chair is buried, I imagine that this chair has been there for a very long time, likely knocked into the canal by accident.
