Interior of car 8506, an R30 car manufactured by the St. Louis Car Company in 1961. These cars ran in service from 1961 to 1993, and were refurbished in the mid 1980s. Following their overhaul, they were painted in a red color scheme, and referred to as the BMT Redbirds.
