Smoky conditions in Baltimore, Maryland, photographed with a drone on June 29, 2023. The smoke originated from wildfires in Canada, which were then carried south by the jet stream, leaving a thick haze over much of the eastern US. This was the second of two instances where smoke haze blanketed the eastern US in the summer of 2023.
