Close-up of the carpet in the second floor corridor at the Hampton Inn & Suites Charleston/West Ashley in Charleston, South Carolina. This carpet was installed following a then-ongoing remodel of the hotel, and its use here made me wonder why it was chosen. It could be that this pattern was chosen to hide stains, or perhaps it was some sort of floral pattern. My take was that even though I knew it wasn't the case (this carpet was brand new), it looked like it had experienced a heavy case of mold growth.
