Hampton Inn hotel in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. This Hampton Inn is unusual in that it was built on top of an existing city parking garage, known as the Market Parking Garage, opening in 2016. The hotel's lobby is at street level, and then the three guest floors are numbered seven through nine. While the hotel's complimentary parking is in the garage, strangely, there is no direct access between the hotel and the garage, requiring that patrons exit the hotel to the street, and then reenter via a garage entrance. Having stayed here before, that is not convenient, especially when moving luggage carts.
