COVID-era signage on former Valley Metro (Roanoke, Virginia) bus 0609, a 2006 Gillig Phantom, photographed at a scrapyard in Prince George's County, Maryland. This signage, placed only on certain seats, was intended to enforce social distancing between individuals on public transportation, ostensibly to prevent the spread of disease during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. As this bus was retired from service during the pandemic, the signage was never removed.
