A pendulum knocks over a peg on the floor at the Science Museum of Virginia. The idea behind this exhibit is that the pendulum's swing changes its orientation over the course of the day as the Earth rotates underneath it. To demonstrate this, a series of pegs are attached to the floor, which the pendulum knocks down over the course of a day.
