Ben Schumin is a professional photographer who captures the intricacies of daily life.

Former Howard Johnson's motor lodge at 450 Moreland Road in Commack, New York. The property remained a Howard Johnson's through the 2000s, and later operated as a Rodeway Inn. Since the mid 2010s, the facility has been used as a homeless shelter, operated by Community Housing Innovations. Despite this, the beacon-style cupola on the gate lodge building remains, though it has been somewhat stripped.
