A Mercury Sable station wagon following the removal of snow from the windows of the car.
The strategy here was to allow the sun's rays to reach the interior of the car, which in turn would warm that space to an extent and melt the lowest levels of snow on the windshield. From there, with the lowest level somewhat melted, the snow on the windshield would be easier to remove cleanly. This strategy turned out to be successful.
