Landmark Mall was an enclosed shopping center in Alexandria, Virginia. The facility was constructed as an outdoor mall in 1965, and enclosed in 1990. The facility closed permanently on January 31, 2017 for a redevelopment project, which will convert the property into a mixed-use town center-style development.
This photo, taken a week before the mall closed, shows one of the entrances to the topmost level in the center court, blocked off with a barrier and plants. This level, which housed a food court, closed before the rest of the mall.
