Landmark Mall was an enclosed shopping center in Alexandria, Virginia. The facility was constructed as an outdoor mall in 1965, and enclosed in 1990. The facility closed permanently on January 31, 2017 for a redevelopment project, which will convert the property into a mixed-use town center-style development.
This photo, taken a week before the mall closed, shows the lower level mall signage for the Sears store. This store is expected to survive the mall's closure and be included in the new development, however, the long-term viability of Sears itself may alter these plans.
